Reliance Industries NSE: RELIANCE

Refining, petrochemicals, polymers, textiles and circular materials

RI
Public materials brief.

Reliance has a named circular-polymer route at Jamnagar. The real work is to preserve quality and chain of custody from waste plastic to pyrolysis oil to a grade that a buyer can run.

Reliance's FY2025-26 integrated report says Jamnagar has ISCC PLUS-certified production of CircuRepol and CircuRelene circular polymers from chemically recycled plastic-waste pyrolysis oil. The same report describes PET recycling, polyolefin recycling and circular-polymer development. Public sources do not establish plant allocation, feedstock supplier, product-grade TDS, batch availability or buyer commitment.

OpenGrade, allocation and buyer evidence

Material inputs to resolve

  • Post-use plastic destined for chemical recycling
  • Pyrolysis oil, virgin feedstocks and mass-balance records
  • Catalysts, energy and polymer-process inputs

Outputs and residuals to resolve

  • CircuRepol and CircuRelene circular polymers
  • Polyolefin products and potential recycled-content claims
  • Nonconforming feedstock and processing residuals
First decision: Choose one circular-polymer grade and one buyer application. Test the incoming waste-plastic specification, pyrolysis-oil chemistry, ISCC PLUS scope, mass-balance allocation, TDS, COA and processing performance together.

Named operating route

Reliance reports ISCC PLUS-certified CircuRepol and CircuRelene production at Jamnagar using plastic-waste pyrolysis oil.

EPR evidence

Its FY2025-26 BRSR records 29,715 tonnes recycled and 34,430 tonnes safely disposed for plastics including packaging.

Technology boundary

Chemical recycling can support a circular-polymer lane only if feedstock quality, allocation and product performance remain controlled.

Evidence boundary

Public reporting does not identify a supplier, capacity allocation, grade-specific technical data or contracted customer.

Decision boundary

Jamnagar gives Reliance a real physical entry point. It does not turn all plastic waste into a qualified polymer. The material decision lives in the chain from specific waste input to a specific buyer-grade resin.
