Samsung Electronics has a measurable material loop: recycled plastics and metals in products, battery-material recovery, and global e-waste collection. The hard question is where a recovered stream becomes a verified input to a named product family.
Samsung's 2025 environmental strategy reports 220,444 tonnes of plastic containing recycled materials, a 33.7% utilization rate, and 636,231 tonnes of e-waste collected in 2025. Its sustainability report describes a circular battery supply chain for Galaxy S25, including recycled cobalt, and recycled plastic from semiconductor wafer trays. Public disclosures do not establish every feedstock allocation, grade specification, yield or supplier contract.
